International Creative Writing Contest: |

Dear
kids, we are looking for young talented writers among you! Are
you waiting to publish your article? Then participate in the
"Indradhanu Creative Writing contest". Send us your original
writing to kids@worldorissa.com. The Annual winner of the each
year's Indradhanu contests will receive the award at the
Pravasi Oriya Divas Celebration at Bhubaneswar, Orissa during
December each year.
This year the 4th Pravasi
Oriya Divas is on 23rd December 2007, Sunday.
In addition to the
annual winner there will be two periodic winners declared for
entries from Jan to April and second for entries from May to
August.
Award: The award will comprise of
Periodic winners
(1)
A certificate of merit.
(
2) cash or gift certificate of $ 20.00 (Twenty) USD.
Annual Indradhanu International Creative Writing Award:
(1)
A certificate of merit.
(
2) cash or gift certificate of $ 100.00 (One hundred) USD.
Contest Rules: The contest is open for Oriya kids worldwide.
The articles should be original, clearly written or typed and
maximum of 3 pages on A4 size paper. You can submit your poems,
stories, essays, travel stories or short skits or plays. The
articles can be in English or Oriya. There is no specific theme
for the contest. Just send your best article(s) as soon as you
are ready. Yes, do not forget to mention your name, school name,
age and title of your article. If selected we will need your
passport picture to post with your article. Selected entries
will be published at Indradhanu - WorldORISSA kids Corner. A
maximum of one article per kid will be published per month.
However you can send us your articles previously for
consideration for the next month. Articles received
within Nov first week of each year will be consider for the
annual competition in the same year. The winner of The
Indradhanu awards will be declared during the first week of
December every year.
Selection Process:
The
winner of annual "Indradhanu International Creative Writing
Contest" will be chosen from over all participations. Articles
received within Nov first week of each year will be consider for
the annual competition in the same year. The winner of The

December every year. The decision of the judges nominated by
WorldORISSA.com will be final. The periodic winners will be
chosen from the Individual entries published during that
period.
Note:
Any unpublished but selected article will be published in the
subsequent months and/or will be considered for our next
contests.
