WorldORISSA web site has provided a forum for Oriyas every where ...just with a click of a mouse   Received On : Dec 22,2006
Very pleased to hear about your web site has been recognized by the Chief Minister of Orissa. For the past three years, the WorldORISSA web site has provided a forum for Oriyas every where to communicate events, achievements, and news items just with a click of a mouse. Some of the stories... and poems published in the Diptimoyee section are heart warming. I was overwhelmed to read young poet Debesh Das's poem, "Manepade", reminiscing his mother. Congratulations and keep up the good work.

Congratulate Sj. Naveen Pattnaik our Chief Minister and Govt. of Orissa Officials to put Orissa in the World Map of Education On behalf of the Non Resident Odia Community, I Congratulate Mr. Naveen Pattnaik our Chief Minister and Govt. of Orissa Officials to put Orissa in the World Map of Education. We are proud of our Chief Minister and his able leadership in achieving this unique status for Orissa, in getting Vedanta University a reality that we were dreaming for a while. We express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Mr. Anil Agarwal, Chairman of Vedanta Resources for signing the MOU on setting up of the Vedanta University in Orissa. As planned and promised Orissa is all set to offer 'educational excellence' for 'future generations' through the proposed Vedanta University, after it signed the MOU Wednesday with the Anil Agarwal foundation. Orissa is all set to poise as "Knowledge State" in the country and around the world. Our best wishes and sincere thanks to Anil Agarwal and the Vedanta Family for this and pledge our support and expertise for successful implementation of this ambitious project in our land. We look forward to the opening of this university in 2 years, as planned now. This action by Mr. Agarwal will go a long way in transforming Orissa from its present status as one of the most backward state of India to a 21st century state build on a knowledge economy. With warm regards,
